Li Bingbing Running for Charity

The Olympic Hope Relay Run began on June 9 at Beijing National Stadium. Film star Li Bingbing, a torch bearer for this year’s London Olympic Games and founder of the public benefits brand L.O.V.E, attended the event and led thousands of runners, xinhuanet.com reports.
The replay run – which lasts until July 27 – is raising donations for Hope Primary Schools in China. Sponsors donate 6 yuan for each kilometer a participant runs. The money will be used to improve athletic facilities and teaching equipment at the schools.
Li was appointed as the run’s image ambassador. She will also take part in the torch relay at the London Olympic Games on July 6.
