Top Stars Help Raise 50 Million Fund for Children

Top stars including, Carina Lau, Li Yapeng, Faye Wong, Na Ying and Huang Yi Help Raise 50 Million Fund for Children at the Smile Angel Foundation Gala Dinner on May 27 in Beijing.
The star-studded event was able to raise 54.6 Million RMB (around US$ 8.64 Million) with 10 auction items.
The Smile Angel Foundation was founded by Faye Wong and her actor husband Li Yapeng in 2006 when their daughter was born with a cleft palate. Carina Lau, a long-time-friend to Wong, joined the committee and helped raised money for the organization.
A specialized children hospital was also launched on the same day to offer free surgeries for this affliction.
